How has the programme helped you grow?
The graduate programme has given me the opportunity to see a project through its entire lifecycle. It is like having the hands-on experience of a small practice with the resources, personnel and projects of a large practice. It allows you to shape the type of engineer you would like to be. Personally, through working collaboratively across a number of teams I’ve improved my communication skills and I am a lot more confident in myself.
What advice would you give to someone considering joining the GDG graduate programme? I would encourage anyone considering joining the GDG graduate programme to embrace the opportunity with an open mind. During the rotations, you may discover that your initial sector preferences might change. The work across all sectors in GDG is engaging and diverse, with exciting new projects and challenges, in addition to the more traditional ones. |
