Would your family like to build your own wind turbine?
Join us for a fun-filled event where you will learn more about engineering, technology and renewable energy.

At GDG, we’re delighted to partner with OffshoreWind4Kids to bring their international Demo Days to Ireland.

Our next event will take place on Sunday, 28 August 2022, on Curracloe Beach, Wexford.

Join us for the opportunity to build your own wind turbine, learn more about engineering, technology and renewable energy, and have lots of fun too!

In this hands-on 45 min session, your group of up to five people will enjoy:

A short introduction to offshore wind
Building a wind turbine
Building one fixed and one floating structure
Decommissioning the wind turbine

You can get hands-on by joining as a participant, or if you’d prefer just to watch, you can also join as a passer-by.

Children aged 3 and up are welcome, but we’ve found that kids from 8 to 12 find the activity most engaging. Each group must include at least one adult.
